Dining

Over the past 30 years, I have trekked across the world in search of a good time and great food. I’ve also had the goal of almost always having a positive attitude along the way. Having settled down in Savannah a bit over the past five to six years, I have managed to eat my way through Savannah’s best restaurants, and I have the extra pounds to prove it.

Vibe, Service, Taste

I feel like I have a good sense for the vibe, service, taste, and overall quality of restaurants in Savannah. I have also spent ten years working in great restaurants which should count for something, right?

AJ’s for Conk Fritters

Over the past weekend, I visited AJ’s by bike. Having a bike on Tybee is great!! We stopped at AJ’s for a burger and our favorite appetizer, Conk Fritters. If you’ve never had conk fritters, then it’s a great time to try it. Conk fritters are tasty, soft hush puppies breaded and full of little pieces of conk. One of the best places to sit at AJ’s is the deck which faces the Back River on the south end of Tybee Island. AJ’s on Tybee Island is one of the best places to go for a beautiful sunset, drinks, and great food. Everyone will be able to find something they love on the menu. Choices vary from a burger and fries to incredible flounder.

Enjoy Your Family, Friends, And Drinks

When going to Tybee Island, remember you’re on vacation and you shouldn’t be in a rush. Enjoy your family, friends, and drinks. The food is worth the wait!
