Ready for a good time in Savannah? We’ve got you covered with the hottest events of the summer. From concerts to Comic Con, there’s something for every type of traveler this season.

Summer Events in Savannah

June 4: Celebrate romance with the Davenport House Concert Series on June 4 at the Davenport House Museum, 324 E. State St. The Savannah VOICE Festivals Summer Songs of Love features an hour-long performance starting at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

June 7, July 5 and Aug. 2: Celebrate art and community at First Fridays in the Starland District, Savannah’s most fashionable emerging neighborhood. It is home to a growing cluster of independent stores, cafes and entertainment venues.

June 8: Juneteenth Festival, an annual event celebrating Savannah history and Gullah culture, is hosted by Telfair Museums at the Jepson Center, with performances, storytelling, art and craft demonstrations and children’s activities. Admission is free and all are welcome.

June 8: Second Saturday Art Walk takes place in the Historic District. It’s a great opportunity to explore the community with artists on hand at galleries, complimentary cocktails at The Hyatt Hotel and more.

June 8-9: Let your inner geek flag fly at the Savannah Mega Comic Con at the Savannah Civic Center. There will be demos, panels, comic book dealers and special guests like WWE wrestlers “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan and Ron Simmons, actors Danny Tamberelli and Michael Maronna of Nicklelodean Adventures of Pete and Pete, and anime voice actor Vic Mignogna. Suit up for the cosplay contest and enjoy the show.

June 30: The Love Unity No Hate Festival will be held at Forsyth Park with activities for adults and children.

July 4: Savannah is a great place to spend Independence Day with tons of Fourth of July events including Tybee Island Fireworks on the Beach, River Street Celebration and a Fireworks Cruise on the River.

Aug. 1-4: For foodies, the Gourmet Seafood and Spirits Festival offers a taste of some of the Southeast’s finest seafood and spirits to the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa. The four-day festival is now in its sixth year.

Aug. 2-4: Vintage Market Days will be held at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center, with vintage and antique items, art and crafts, and more. Three-day admission is $10 Friday, $5 Saturday and Sunday.

Aug. 3-25: The Savannah Voice Festival presents an array of events in August including opera, rock n’ rock, classical music and Broadway-style shows. Some events are free.

All summer long, cool off inside the Jepson Center to view the “Source to Sea: Ansley West Rivers” photos or “If these Walls Could Talk: 200 Years of William Jay Architecture” exhibits. “Rembrandt and the Jewish Experience,” an exhibition containing 21 etchings by Rembrandt, is on display through June 30.
