Fannie’s on the Beach

If you’re on Tybee Island, check out Fannie’s on the Beach. Situated across from the beach at 1613 Strand, near 17th Street, they are right in the heart of things. Come by for lunch or dinner and sit inside or lounge outside on one of the two decks. You can people watch from the lower deck or watch the ocean from the second-floor deck.

There is Something for Everyone at Fannie’s on the Beach

Start your meal off with one of the many appetizers. The choices include the usual offerings of wings, nachos and fried mozzarella. But, there also are a few more uncommon selections – ahi tuna tostada, crawfish, and spicy fried pickles. Or – since we are at the beach – start with buffalo or coconut shrimp or try one of the oyster options.

There really is something for every appetite here at Fannies on the Beach in Tybee, and there are several menu items for kids. Besides the usual burgers and hot dogs, they also offer several salads – Ahi Tuna Salad or NOLA Shrimp Salad just to name a few. For those not in the mood for seafood, there are quesadillas, chicken fingers, Baby-Back-Ribs, steak and a Brisket Cheesesteak Sandwich. There are several interesting gourmet pizza options too.

If you are in the mood for seafood, they’ve got you covered. Grilled Mahi or Chipotle Shrimp Tacos, fried seafood platters, and Blackened Mahi are just a few of the choices. For a twist on the usual seafood entree, try a shrimp burger, Grilled Mahi sandwich, Crab Cake BLT or a Po’boy. And, if you can’t make up your mind, get the Surf-and-Turf, Low Country Boil or the Steamed Platter (enough seafood to share!).

In the mood for something light? Grab a couple of sliders and one of Fannies on the Beach‘s signature cocktails from the full bar. Order the “Big Ol’ Mary” – a Bloody Mary and a BBQ bacon cheeseburger slider! And don’t forget dessert – Key Lime Pie or the “Hoho Choco Lotta Yaya Cake” (billed as the “greatest, fudgiest, chocolatey cake ever”).
